Éric Bel started his career at the University as a language teacher, before becoming Head of Languages. Since then, he has specialised in (Post-Compulsory) Education, more specifically in learning and teaching in Higher Education, Further Education and Adult Education.
Éric's main responsibilities are on the Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, and he contributes to the MA in Education and the Education Doctorate.
Éric also works closely with the Language Centre team.
Éric is currently working with Middlesbrough Community Learning Service in evaluating their educational and training provision.
Éric is currently an external examiner with the Language Department at the University of Lincolnshire.
Éric's main learning-and-teaching interests are in the area of Higher Education teachers' professional development, as well as supporting academic teams in designing programmes of learning.
