Personal profile
Academic Biography
I am an animator, educator, and researcher based at Teesside University, specialising in 2D and Stop Motion animation.
With over thirteen years’ experience across education, museums, and freelance practice, my work explores animation as a participatory tool for storytelling and identity-making.
My current research focuses on using hands-on stop-motion processes to support care experienced individuals and communities, foregrounding creativity as a means of reflection, connection, and collective expression.
I enjoy learning softwares but also enjoy the craftmanship of making with my hands. I have always believed animation is the conduit to help simplify the complexities of the world around us.
I studied Ba Hons Animation and Design at Sunderland university and have studied for my Masters in Education with a post graduate certificate.
