Dr Abi Olarinde is a Principal Lecturer Learning and Teaching in the Leadership, Management and Human Resources (LMHR) Department at Teesside University International Business School.
Abi has a PhD in Management from the University of Hull and her PhD research explored Employee Relations (ER) & Human Resource Management (HRM) in Informally Dominated Emerging Economies, focusing on Nigerian SMEs. She holds an MSc in Business and Management (Aston University), an MChem in Chemistry (University of Reading) and a Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert.) in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (Teesside University). Abi is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) and has extensive teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
In recent years, Abi has held several teaching and leadership roles within academia drawing upon her practical experiences. She has led the ‘Productive People and Relationships’ Future of Work Centre Group and has been the Director of Studies of several doctoral candidates. She is also the Postgraduate Research (PGR) tutor for the LMHR department at Teesside University. She has reviewed articles for the Human Resource Management Journal.
