Academic Biography

Dr Alex Ellin started his career as an Air Engineering Officer in the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm and was involved in assuring the airworthiness of the Merlin Helicopter on its introduction to service.  He has been a university lecturer for about 13 years and is currently teaching aerospace related topics.  He is authorised as a Competent Person for the purposes of E Conditions and is currently running his 4th E-Conditions project.   Most of his research interests are in light aircraft and autogyro flight test methodology.
