Academic Biography
I am a Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy and the Clinical Placement Lead. I started at Teesside in March 2025 following 4 years at York St John University.
I teach across all 3 Physiotherapy programmes and supervise student projects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Clinically, I worked for North Tees NHS Trust, first as a Band 5 rotational and then static MSK Physiotherapist. I then moved into private practice and occupational health and then spent almost 10 years working for the Ministry of Defence as a Specialist Physiotherapist at the Infantry Training Centre in Catterick Garrison. I followed this with a role as a Band 7 Team Lead Physiotherapist for South Tees NHS Trust.
Summary of Research Interests
I have an interest in MSK Advanced Practice and First Contact Physiotherapy and am keen to collaberate on further research in these areas.
I also have a keen interest in Tendinopathy management.
Learning and Teaching Interests and Activities
I have an interest in MSK injection Therapy and have been a qualified injection therapist since 2012. I have also taught on postgraduate Injection Therapy courses.
