Bev Rutter

I am a commercially focussed Chartered Management Accountant and university lecturer who has worked within blue chip PLCs and the public sector for over twenty years. Until November 2022 I was Course Leader for Accounting and Finance BA (Hons) at Sheffield Hallam University. I am passionate for my specialism of management accounting and aim to bring topics to life in the classroom, and so I have chosen to return to industry for a short period of time to update my operational experience, and until a challenging new academic role in the northeast appealed to me after my relocation home. I have a lively and engaging teaching style, and my “specialist interests” include the extended student experience and attainment both inside and outside the classroom, including supporting BAME and international students, and those studying whilst they fulfil their work and home commitments.
