Academic Biography
Cecile Jones is a Senior Lecturer in Dietetics at Teesside University on the MSc Dietetics (pre-registration) programme.
She graduated from the University of Surrey in 2008 with a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics (BSc Hons) and started her career within a range of clinical settings covering varying specialisms in both acute and community roles.
In 2012 she became a Teaching fellow in Dietetics at the University of Surrey focussing on interdisciplinary learning, innovative placement opportunities and curriculum development. She was admissions lead for Dietetics and academic integrity lead for the faculty. Cecile has a passion for interdisciplinary learning and developing students skills to support holistic learning and care provision. This led to the development and integration of cross disciplinary learning and role emerging placements into the currciulum.
Cecile recently joined the team at Teesside in 2021. She is course lead for the newly accredited Apprenticeship in Dietetics due to start in May 2023.
