Academic Biography
Chris is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Nursing and Midwifery at Teesside University, teaching pre-registration nursing students working as part of the admissions team as an admissions tutor.
Before entering academia in 2017, Chris had a varied clinical career, primarily working as Critical Care Nurse. His other clinical roles include being a Quality Improvement Facilitator in Patient Safety and Clinical Governance, Surgical High Dependency and Flight Nurse.
Chris’ main interest include Pathophysiology, Critical Care Nursing, Human Factors, Leadership, Trans health. He also has a keen interest in the use of innovative and engaging pedagogical approaches. Additionally, he has contributed to the development and quality assurance of the nursing curriculum and assessment methods, in collaboration with colleagues, external partners, and professional bodies.
