Academic Biography

Dr Christopher Drew is Senior Lecturer in Education. His work crosses media, cultural, childhood and education studies.

Chris has a PhD in Education from the Australian Catholic University, and B.Ed (Honours, first class) from Charles Sturt University. His work can be found in journals including Discourse: Studies in the cultural politics of education, Sociology of Education and Critical Studies in Education.

Chris is open for collaboration on research projects and supervision of research students in areas that align with his research skills.

Summary of Research Interests

Chris is currently working on research into good practice in podcast and vodcast design for higher education, with several publications in the works for 2017.

Concomitantly, he is continuing to collaborate with colleagues in Australia on projects exploring historical and contemporary understandings of the concept of childhood; and the impact of the marketization of education systems on education cultures.

Fingerprint Fingerprint is based on mining the text of the person's scientific documents to create an index of weighted terms, which defines the key subjects of each individual researcher.
