Academic Biography

Dr. Rosenbrier is a Principle Applied Clinical Psychologist currently working in the specialism of Forensic Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (FCAMHS) for the NHS. As part of this role, Dr. Rosenbrier is the lead psychologist across all of Durham and Darlington Youth Justice Services. Dr. Rosenbrier has over 10 years’ worth of experience working within the field of forensic mental health, the majority of which has been within secure inpatient and child / adolescent services for the NHS. Dr. Rosenbrier is highly experienced in working with a wide variety of complex clinical presentations across the life span, however, specialises in working with clients who engage in a variety of offending and high-risk behaviours. Dr. Rosenbrier is trained and experienced in conducting a number of specialist forensic risk assessments (i.e., HCR-20, SVR-20, Stalking Risk Profile, SARA, PCL-R) and neuropsychological / psychometric testing (i.e., WAIS-IV, WISC-IV, ABAS). Dr Rosenbrier is trained in Schema Therapy and due to complete formal accreditation in 2025.  

Dr. Rosenbrier completed his BSc in Psychology at the University of Sunderland in 2012 and gained a MSc in Forensic Psychology at Teesside University in 2013. Dr. Rosenbrier was awarded their Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Teesside University in 2020 with a thesis entitled “An Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis of working with personality disorder in offenders with an intellectual disability: Clinician’s experiences of treatment and risk management”. Dr. Rosenbrier is a published research author and has presented at several international conferences. Dr. Rosenbrier’s current research interests relate to Stalking and Terrorism / Radicalisation / Extremism amongst young people.
