Summary of Research Interests

During his 20+ years of professional experience as a graphic novelist, Con Chrisoulis has integrated tools utilised in historical, ethnographical and sociological research and his output, past and ongoing, experiments with the possibilities of the comics medium to visually reconstruct the findings as sequential art.
Current projects include:
Rebel Rebel, the graphic novel biography of David Bowie (currently serialised online as a webcomic)
King, the graphic novel biography of Jack Kirby, the visual creator of Marvel Comics (currently serialised online as a webcomic)

Past projects include:
Tales of the Smiths, the graphic novel biography of Morrissey and the Smiths (serialised daily online as a webcomic from 2011-2014 and subsequently published by Omnibus Press, 2018)
Dryland, the graphic novel retelling of the deaths of the author's ancestors in Interwar Greece (serialised online as a webcomic from 2011 to 2015 and published by Markosia Enterprises, 2016).
