Dr Danial Qadir stands as a distinguished scientist and a prominent researcher specializing in the domains of membrane technology, carbon capture, and hydrogen purification technologies. Over the span of a decade, he has delivered substantial contributions to the development of sustainable, innovative, and environmentally conscious solutions to address pressing global challenges.
Dr Danial's foray into the scientific realm commenced with a solid educational grounding. He earned his Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the esteemed UET-Lahore in Pakistan, where his early passion for environmental sustainability began to burgeon, laying the cornerstone for a remarkable career.
His doctoral research at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia was centred on the development of carbon-based mixed matrix membranes for the removal of dissolved salts, a critical challenge in water treatment and desalination processes. His pioneering work during this period resulted in the filing of two patents and the publication of notable research papers, swiftly establishing his reputation as a rising star in the field of separation technology.
Dr Danial undertook a brief yet impactful tenure as an Assistant Professor, where he dedicated himself to the pedagogical side of academia, imparting knowledge to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Later, he joined Teesside University as a Research Associate, where his focus shifted towards addressing the critical issues of carbon capture and advancing the hydrogen economy. Over the years, he contributed to the ground-breaking projects aimed at capturing carbon dioxide emissions from industrial processes and further broadened his research scope to encompass hydrogen technologies—a crucial area in the transition toward a cleaner and more sustainable industrial landscape.
Leveraging his profound understanding of chemistry and materials science, Danial has played a pivotal role in the advancement of hydrogen production, purification, and carbon capture techniques.
