Current role:
In my current role as Midwifery a lecturer, I am course leader for the MSc in Midwifery and module lead for the Pathophysiology and Leadership modules on the BSc Midwifery course.
Research:
My current PhD study is a constructive grounded theory approach to the attributes of delivery suite coordinators as perceived by the multi-disciplinary team.
Previous roles:
Prior to joining the University as lecturer, I held management roles in the NHS as a Head of Midwifery, Director of Nursing for the CCG and Divisional Manager for Women’s, Children’s & Sexual health Services.
I have also held clinical midwifery roles in the community, hospital and neonatal setting in various maternity units in the UK and abroad.
I also hold an honorary contract with the local maternity unit which allows me to maintain and update my clinical midwifery skills.
