Academic Biography
Dimitrios joined Teesside University in 2008. Prior to this he worked as research associate for three years at the University of Manchester, before joining Liverpool University in 1992 as a Lecturer, followed by appointment as Sub-Dean in the Faculty of Engineering at Liverpool University from 1996 onwards.
He holds a BSc (Hons) in Aeronautical Engineering and has a PhD in Engineering from the University of Manchester.
His PhD and postdoctoral research focussed on internal waves and stratified fluids, and his work has been published in seventeen peer-reviewed journal and conference papers. He has also contributed journal articles on ‘Nurturing the next generation of AI’ and ‘Increasing workforce diversity in AI and data science’
