Academic Biography
Beatrice is a distinguished scholar with over eight years of experience in higher education. She holds a PhD in Strategy, a Master’s degree in Strategy, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Currently, she serves as a Lecturer in Strategy at Teesside University International Business School.
Before joining Teesside, Beatrice served as the Head of the Business Department at Pan Africa Christian University, where she achieved significant milestones, including growth in student enrollment, revenue generation, research collaborations, and program development and review. Under her leadership, several lecturers completed their PhDs and actively engaged in local and international collaborations, significantly elevating the university's profile in the region. Her exemplary contributions earned her the Best Lecturer of the Year award four consecutive times; a testament to her dedication and outstanding work ethic.
In addition to her academic achievements, Beatrice brings extensive industry experience in top leadership roles. As a Regional Manager, Senior Manager, and Assistant Manager at the Postal Corporation of Kenya, she spearheaded impactful projects that enhanced organizational revenue and fostered interdepartmental partnerships. Among her notable contributions was the implementation of Huduma Kenya, a one-stop-shop approach for government services. Her efforts earned her the Best Worker award, further emphasizing her commitment to excellence and innovation.
Throughout her career, Beatrice has consistently championed high ethical standards, fostering workplace cultures that align with organizational behavior frameworks and enhance institutional reputation.
At Teesside University International Business School, Beatrice is dedicated to delivering transformative training that aligns with and reinforces the school's vision and mission, preparing students for impactful contributions to the global business landscape.
Enterprise Interest and Activities
Beatrice has a strong track record of collaborations with external organizations in training and community engagement. Notably, she has partnered with the Kenya Red Cross Society to facilitate training programs focused on medical entrepreneurship and strategic positioning.
In addition, Beatrice has participated in a podcast for Women in Real Estate Entrepreneurship, showcasing her dedication to promoting diversity and inclusion in the field. She is also a strong advocate for online teaching and learning, actively participating in training sessions and embedding innovative approaches to education that align with the future of learning.
Furthermore, Beatrice has facilitated chaplaincy training for various school chaplains, Imams, and personnel from correctional facilities, including the police and prisons, emphasizing her commitment to community development and capacity building.

Beatrice’s research interests are centered around strategic management, transformational leadership, turnaround strategies, repositioning strategies, and organizational behavior. She has significantly contributed to these fields through numerous publications in reputable journals, providing empirical insights and practical solutions to address complex organizational challenges.
With extensive experience in postgraduate supervision, Beatrice has successfully guided students to completion at the undergraduate, master’s, and PhD levels. Her commitment to mentoring has been instrumental in fostering the development of future scholars, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their research endeavors.
