Dr. Femi Waters-Ajisafe is a Principal Lecturer and Senior Teaching Fellow with over 17 years of experience in higher education. With her extensive knowledge and expertise in marketing, she is responsible for developing and overseeing the marketing and recruitment activities of the Business School.
Femi's teaching focuses on strategic marketing, and she is well-versed in practice-based pedagogy. She has developed several innovative experiential modules, such as the Teesside Marketing Clinic and Student Freelancers, which provides learners with direct marketing consultancy experiences and reflection to enhance their knowledge and develop entrepreneurial competencies.
Along with her teaching, Femi has a keen interest in research, specifically at the intersection of consumer behaviour and marketing. One of her goals is to promote inclusive and accessible education for all. Currently, she is exploring what is meaningful to students within the multiple and competing normativities they experience during their student journey. She examines this topic through the lens of Dooyeweerd Philosophy.
