Academic Biography
Gabby is a Student Success Tutor within SLAR. Her speciality at Teesside is working 1-on-1 with students to help develop their academic skills, including planning, research, understanding assignment briefs and organisational skills.
Gabby has worked in academia for five years and continues to work part-time for the Open University as a Criminology lecturer and tutor and as part of a module team developing a new research module for level 6 students, which focuses on the importance of intersectional and interdisciplinary approaches to researching criminological topics. Gabby also convenes and teaches a course in 'State Crime' for Birkbeck College, University of London and previously taught a range of modules here from level 5 to level 8 before joining Teesside in December 2021.
Gabby is currently writing up her PhD thesis, which focuses on civilian-collected digital evidence of atrocity crimes.
