Academic Biography
Geoff is a lecturer in occupational therapy, course lead for the Bsc (hons) occupational apprenticeship programme and practice placement coordinator.
He was a former student at Teesside University and qualified in 2010. Geoff has worked in numerous clinical areas such as stroke rehabilitation, general medicine and safeguarding. Geoff has an expertise in housing and social care and project lead in 2013 on the implementation of a social housing occupational therapy service in a local authority. The service is now embedded in the local authorities social care services.
Geoff also has a keen interest in capacity and deprivation of liberty, he is a qualified best interest assessor and is keen to coninue to pursue this area.
Geoff teaches across several topics such professional practice, practice placement preperation and professional body guidance.
