Personal profile

Enterprise Interest and Activities

I have 16 years of experience as a Scientific officer, at Forensic DNA Laboratory, Department of Chemistry Malaysia. My experience covers various aspects of laboratory examination and analysis relating to Forensic Biology and DNA profiling on biological samples such as bloodstains, seminal stains, hair, bones and other biological samples encountered in the investigation of murder, suspicious deaths, assault, rape and other sexual offences. I have received more than 1500 cases and carried out DNA analysis on more than 20000 samples. Moreover, while my on-the-job experience has afforded me a well-rounded skill set, including leadership skills, first-rate time management and effective public speaking abilities, I also possess a refined ability to follow laboratory procedures and conduct tests using laboratory equipment/instrumentation such as Biorobot EZ1, Thermal cycler, Real-Time PCR and Genetic Analyser 3100, 3130 and 3500 to accurately obtain results.
