Academic Biography

Harriet Beadnell is a Student Success Tutor (Student Engagement) in the Student Learning & Academic Registry's Student Success Team. She provides bespoke, 1:1 mentoring to students in areas such as time management, confidence building and academic and writing skills.  Harriet also supports the planning and delivery of workshops, drop-ins and other Student Learning events and activities to encourage the engagement and success of students at Teesside University.

Before commencing her current role, Harriet worked as a Student Outcomes Coordinator (Academic Engagement) at Durham University International Study Centre. She delivered specialist mentoring support and personal tuition to international students undertaking their foundation year programme in preparation for Durham University. Previous roles have included: training as a secondary school teacher, private tutoring and working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the History department at the University of York.
