Academic Biography

Dr. Ioannis Sfyrakis is a Lecturer in Computer Science at the School of Computing, Engineering, and Digital Technologies. His primary research interests are System Security, Cloud Computing, Smart Contracts and Remote Attestation. 

He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Newcastle University, UK. Additionally, he holds an MSc in Advanced Computer Science from Newcastle University, UK and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Greenwich. 

He worked as a research associate at Newcastle University for the PrismaCloud research project, which focused on topology certification. Subsequently, he worked as a research associate for the European Research Council (ERC) Starting Grant project titled Confidentiality-Preserving Security Assurance (CASCAde) on network topology attestation, and the development of cryptographic libraries for graph signatures.
