Academic Biography
I joined the adult nursing team at Teesside University as a senior lecturer in June 2018.
I have taught both pre and post registration nursing students and trainee nursing associates.
I provide academic support to MSc students, those completing the BSc specialist practice in district nursing course and pre -registration students completing their dissertation.
I provide personal support to pre- registration nursing students and support students in clinical practice.
External Roles and Professional Activities
Before joining Teesside University, I worked for 5 years as a community matron where I worked at an advanced level managing both patients with long term conditions in their own homes and providing care for patients living in care homes presenting with both acute and chronic conditions.
I have also worked as a community staff nurse and then, after completing my specialist practitioner in district nursing degree, a district nurse.
