Dr Jagdeep Ghundoo is a registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health Care Professions Council and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society.
Jagdeep has practiced for over 10 years in the NHS in Primary, Secondary and Tertiary care. Her clinical experience covers the life-span from children and adolescents to older adults. She has clinically supervised psychologists and other mental health professionals and has been involved in NHS Trust strategic development.
After completing her Doctorate in Counselling Psychology, Jagdeep has further specialised in CBT and Psychodynamic Therapies with Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Trust, Anna Freud Centre, London and the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. Jagdeep also works in Private Practice with Medico-legal Expert Witness cases.
Jagdeep has taught on a range of modules at Teesside University, across all levels. She is currently Programme Leader for the BSc Psychology and Counselling Programme. She is module leader for Clinical Workshops, Therapeutic Practice 1, Concepts in Counselling Psychology and Psychodynamic 1 on the Doctorate in Counselling Psychology Programme. She supervises undergraduate and postgraduate research and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
