Jane Woods

Jane is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Nursing and Midwifery at Teesside University, teaching pre-registration and post-registration nursing students and working as part of the admissions team as an admissions tutor..

Before entering academia, Jane had a varied clinical career, working as a staff nurse and sister on a general paediatric ward, and a Health Visitor. She spent 4 years as a Practice Placement Faciliator befor moving moving to the University full time. Jane is a non-medical prescriber and holds a Diploma, BSc in Nursing and a Masters in Education.

Jane's main interests include all aspects of children's nursing plus child mental health, safeguarding, and child development. Her main focus is teaching clinical skills.
