Academic Biography

I am a Senior Research Lecturer in the School of Computing, Engineering, and Digital Technologies (SCEDT) at Teesside University (TU), UK, and an Honorary Fellow in the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Geomatic Engineering (CEGE) at University College London (UCL), UK. My research is based on interdisciplinary goals of improving community resiliency and sustainability, especially against extreme events (such as earthquakes, pipe-leakages, climate change, etc.), through a lens of data science and artificial intelligence. My expertise includes advanced statistical analysis, reliability engineering, surrogate modeling, digital twining, data-driven health monitoring, Bayesian analysis, time-series analysis, machine learning, deep learning, and explainable artificial intelligence.
