Academic Biography
John is a Doctoral Scholar in Biotechnology at the National Horizons Centre of Teesside University. His research centeres on the functionality of microbiomes. Currently, he is working on identifying the microbial consortia and population dynamics that underly the performance or failure of anaerobic digester systems as a neccessary step towards optimization. Of interest is the potential of this technology in biogas production and large scale waste management, especially in the face of a global quest for greener energy and a revamped environment.
