Academic Biography

John is a Doctoral Scholar in Biotechnology at the National Horizons Centre of Teesside University. His research centeres on the functionality of microbiomes. Currently, he is working on identifying the microbial consortia and  population dynamics that underly the performance or failure of anaerobic digester systems as a neccessary step towards optimization. Of interest is the potential of this technology in biogas production and large scale  waste management, especially in the face of a global quest for greener energy and a revamped environment.
