Keith studied Computer Science at Keele University, graduated with a First, and stayed on to do a postgraduate qualification in digital music technology. After working for a software house, he worked in the games industry for a number of years. He found that he enjoyed the teaching aspects of his work in the games industry – supporting and encouraging younger colleagues, showing them how to do things. He came to Teesside in 2001.
Keith teaches games programming, and the games development process. He teaches students how the industry works, based on his own experience and emphasising professionalism – milestones, deadlines, budgets.
