Academic Biography
Kelly is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Nursing and Midwifery at Teesside University, teaching pre-registration and post-registration nursing students and working as part of the admissions team as an admissions tutor. Kelly is the MSc Pre-registration Nursing Course leader.
Before entering academia, Kelly had a varied clinical career, working as a staff nurse and sister on a general paediatric ward, a paediatric diabetes specialist nurse and a safeguarding trainer. Kelly is a non-medical prescriber and holds a Diploma, BSc and MSc in Nursing.
Kelly’ main interests include all aspects of children's nursing plus child mental health, safeguarding, adolescence and diabetes.
