Academic Biography
Dr Khin Lwin is currently a Principal Lecturer (Research & Innovation) in School of Computing and Digital Technologies, Teesside University. Previously, Dr Lwin has worked as a Senior Lecturer, Senior Research Fellow, Research Fellow (Anglia Ruskin University), Teaching Assistant (University of Nottingham) and Software Engineer (Halliburton).
Khin holds B.Sc.(Hons) and Ph.D degrees in Computer Science from University of Nottingham. Khin has received various awards (the Springer Science and Business Media Prize, the University Prize for Academic Excellence) and scholarships (the International Research Excellence Scholarship and University of Nottingham PhD Scholarship).
Dr Lwin's research focus on the interdisciplinary studies between computer science and operational research for the application of modelling, search and optimisation techniques and data-driven algorithms to underpin the development of intelligent decision support systems across a wide range of real-world challenging problems.
