Academic Biography

Dr Cordova-Rivera completed her PhD in The University of Newcastle (Australia) in 2018. Her Thesis by Publication focused on the study of physical activity and sedentary time in people with severe asthma, bronchiectasis and COPD. 

Prior to this, Laura completed a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy and a PGDip in Family Health. She has developed her clinical background working as a physiotherapist in the UK, Australia and Chile in areas including frailty and elderly population, and chronic cardiovascular and respiratory conditions in acute inpatient and community settings.

She currently holds a Physiotherapy registration with the Health and Care Professional Council (UK), the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and is member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
