Le Minh Thao Doan is a PhD candidate and a part-time Lecturer in Computer Science at the School of Computing, Engineering and Digital Technologies, Teesside University.
Her research interest is AI applications in healthcare and oncology, especially applying machine learning and deep learning in cancer diagnosis and prognosis. Her research mainly focuses on Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) and how AI and machine learning can assist in early cancer detection and improve patient survival outcomes.
She has also experience in big data, business intelligence and data analytics to give more insights and solve business problems. She used to work as a financial auditor and data analyst in multinational corporations such as EY and AB InBev. Later, she joined Teesside University as a data analytics developer to support SMEs in Tees Valley in their digitalisation journey.
