I am a current PhD candidate Teesside University, where I attended and received a BA in English Studies. I also completed an MA in Romantic and Victorian Literature at the University of Durham in 2015. My broad interests are in representations of blackness and also fin-de-siécle literature.
Research for my thesis focusses on the global perspectives of contemporary representations of the nineteenth century. I am interested in exploring borders, excesses and liminalities, particularly in the intersection between Black, transatlantic and neo-Victorian studies.
