Academic Biography
Dr. Jenisha Charles serves as a Lecturer in Electrical Engineering at Teesside University, Middlesbrough, UK, since October 2022. With a strong academic foundation, she holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (PgCLTHE) from Teesside University and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli (NIT-T), India. Her educational journey also includes a Master of Engineering (M.E) from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) from Anna University, Chennai. She actively engages in research areas such as energy management with battery storage, power electronics and switching, maximum power point tracking, grid-connected renewable energy systems, demand-side management, microgrids, smart grids, and electric vehicle charging. Dr. Jenisha is the module leader for Electrical Power Systems at Level 6 and tutors for Electronic Principles at Level 4 and Microgrid at Level 7. Additionally, she supervises dissertation projects at Levels 6 and 7. Eager to contribute to advancing the field, she is open to project collaborations and Ph.D. supervision within her research expertise.
