Academic Biography

I have worked at Teesside University since 2008 as a Senior Lecturer. My background prior to joining the University was in District Nursing, Elderly Care, Cardiology and Orthopaedic surgery. Since joining the University I have undetaken a variety of roles such as Module Leadership, Course Leadership for Pre-Registration Nursing and also the role of Principal Lecturer for Staffing and Resources in the Adult Nursing Teams. Since 2020 I have been Course Leader for the FdSc Nursing Associate Programme. The programme has gained national success twice for the Nursing Associate Training Provider of the Year at the Student Nursing Times Awards in 2020 and 2023. The programme was a finalist in the same category in 2021 and 2024.
