Academic Biography

Moses Dang is a Lecturer in Organisational Behaviour in the Department of Leadership, Management and Human Resources. Dr. Moses has 10 years experience in teaching and research. Moses holds an MSc. in Management & Human Resource Management from Nottingham Trent University, UK and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Management from the Northumbria University, Newcastle, UK.

Before joining Teesside University, while studying, Moses worked as an Associate Lecturer at Northumbria University in Newcastle, dissertation supervisor with the university of York, Assessment and Student feedback support tutor at the university of Stirling. Earlier, Moses had also worked as a lecturer at Plateau State University, Bokkos, Nigeria.

Before becoming an academic, Moses spent over 17 years in the industry where he held management positions in different roles within non-government and commercial organisations such as Accountant, Customer service Manager, Administrative manager, Cultural Advisor, Banker and Project Manager both in Nigeria and in the UK.

Moses’ research interest cuts across the fields of Human Resource Management; particular interests are Organisational Behaviour, organisational practices, and how it relates to workers’ wellbeing and their families. Moses’ PhD research investigated areas of Organisational effectiveness/ineffectiveness, factors leading to work-life (im)balance of workers, employment regulation within MNEs and other organisations as well as workers coping strategies and coping resources in the face of uncertain working conditions. Moses is actively engaged in research projects and activities both nationally and internationally.

Supervises MSc, MBA and DBA students.
