Dr. Muhammad Shakil Ahmad has over 15 years of experience in teaching, research, and leadership in academia. He completed his Ph.D. (Management) from Faculty of Business, University Technology Malaysia, Malaysia. Dr. Ahmad is the 2015 Recipient of the Young Scholars Workshop, nominated by American Society of Public Administration. He was also awarded with master and Ph.D. scholarship by COMSATS University Islamabad.   

Before joining Teesside University International Business School (TUIBS) at Teesside University, he worked as a tenured associate professor at COMSATS University Islamabad, Pakistan; Sohar University, Oman; and Kyung Hee University, South Korea. Dr. Ahmad has extensive experience in managing research at the enterprise level. He served as the Director of ORIC (Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization) at COMSATS University Islamabad, Pakistan during 2013-2021.

Research Interests and Scholarly Activity

Dr. Ahmad scholarly interests revolve around Green HRM, sustainability, sustainable intelligence, heritage tourism, ethical leadership, and knowledge management.
