Areas of Research Expertise

Musbahu has over 9 years experience in research and design of power electronic converters, electric drives, and Battery Mangement system (BMS). His main research activities include:  

  • design of novel power converter topologies,
  • real-time digital control of power electronic converters,
  • system modelling; including reduced order models

His research is regularly applied to a number of key application areas of interest, including:

  • transport electrification,
  • Li-ion battery characterisation Prognosis/Diagnosis and Non-Destructive Testing techniques.

Musbahu Muhammad is a  Lecturer in Electronics and Control Engineering at the School of Computing Engineering and Digiatal technologies (SCEDT).
