Areas of Research Expertise

Musbahu has over 4 years experience in research and design of power electronic converters, electric drives, and Battery Mangement system (BMS). His main research activities include:  

  • design of novel power converter topologies,
  • real-time digital control of power electronic converters,
  • system modelling; including reduced order models

His research is regularly applied to a number of key application areas of interest, including:

  • transport electrification,
  • Li-ion battery characterisation Prognosis/Diagnosis and Non-Destructive Testing techniques.

Musbahu Muhammad is a  Lecturer in Electronics and Control Engineering at the School of Computing Engineering and Digiatal technologies (SCEDT). He is an expert in the field of power electronics and digital control of power electronic  converter systems. (follow the Google scholar link for more details).
