Accepting PhD Students
Dr Naheed Roni is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting & Finance and researcher at Teesside University International Business School in the subject group of Accounting and Finance. Her current research area of interests are Fintech and social change, Circular Economy in banking, small/micro resources finance, sustainable finance, lending risk analysis and entrepreneurship responsible finance.
Naheed completed her PhD and MRes from the Manchester Metropolitan University, UK and a MBA from the University of Wales, UK and has been teaching for several years at the undergraduate, postgraduate and PGR level. Before joining Teesside University, she taught at the Manchester Metropolitan University and University of Dhaka, Bangladesh where she worked as an Associate professor in Banking & Insurance department at University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Naheed received her first degree in Finance and Banking and a Masters in Banking from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. She is a member of several research interest groups in BAM and BAFA and a Fellow of UK Higher Education Academy (FHEA). She has also published a number of research articles in academic journals.
Naheed is currently supervising PhD and DBA students in the field of Fintech in banking, responsible banking and accepting PhD students in the field of sustainable and green finance, circular economy in banking, climate change and agricultaral finance in developing countries.
