Nicola Selby is a Lecturer in Leadership at Teesside University International Business School, where she contributes to programmes such as executive education,  the Chartered Management Degree, and business undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. With a background in International Management (MSc) and ongoing PhD researcher, Nicola integrates global perspectives into her teaching, emphasising the practical application of leadership theories in contemporary settings.

Nicola's career spans over a decade in managerial roles within the public sector, focusing on risk management and prevention. This experience has honed her ability to cultivate high-performing teams and equip leaders with essential skills for navigating complex and uncertain environments.

Within higher education, she supervises projects, provides academic leadership, and has contributed to the creation and approval of courses and modules. Nicola is also actively involved in fostering partnerships and ensuring professional accreditation standards are met.
