Academic Biography
Dr. Jellason is an accomplished research professional with subject matter expertise in Sustainability, Food Systems Management, and Resilience. Proven leader equipped with advanced interpersonal, communication, and project management skills. Holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Resilience & Food Security from Coventry University (2018) and obtained an MSc. in Environment and Sustainable Development and graduated with Merit from the University of Glasgow (2010). Dr Jellason offers over ten (10) years research, teaching and professional work experience in Development Project Planning and Implementation. He is proficient in research on contemporary environmental issues affecting Smallholder Agriculture, Food Security, Sustainability, Climate Change & Socio-ecological resilience building and has extensive knowledge in Rural Livelihood diversification, Rural Cooperative formation; approaches to Market System Development for the Poor, Agricultural Produce Value Chain Management; Private Sector and Government engagement; Smallholder Financial Inclusion and Fundraising; Environmental Impact Assessment; Gender Mainstreaming in Development Project Planning.
Before joining Teesside University International Business School, he worked in several places including at the School of Agriculture Policy and Development (SAPD) University of Reading, UK as a Postdoctoral Researcher (2019-2022), Alvan Blanch Development Co. Ltd. as a Sales Representative (2018-2019) and the National Biotechnology Development Agency in Nigeria (2011-2014) as Scientific Officer. He also served at a mid-Management level in several organisations including Afridev Konsult-Nigeria as Associate Consultant & Livelihood Advisor; Centre for Initiative & Development-Nigeria as Programme and M&E Officer; National Union of Students-UK as Project Assistant; Oxfam GB as Fundraiser. While in those positions, he demonstrated strong work ethic, resilience, personal integrity, adaptability, positive attitude, and team spirit amidst the demands of the projects handled to achieve the set goals. In the process, he also developed Technical Competency, Quantitative and Qualitative Research, Negotiation, Strategic Thinking and Networking skills. Dr Jellason has been involved in industry engagement, consulting for companies such as UDLive, UK.
Research Interests and Scholarly Activity
Dr Jellason's scholarly interests revolve around agri-food sustainability, food supply chain and food systems resilience, sustainable energy, natural resources governance, circularity and sustainable business transitioning.
Dr. Jellason’s research experience over the years has resulted in numerous conference papers, a book chapter and research articles published in High Impact journals including:

Teaching and Learning Engagement
Dr. Jellason currently teaches at both undergraduate and postgraduate (including apprenticeship programmes) levels on the following modules:

- Sustainable Organisation (apprenticeship),
- Current Issues in Business and Society (apprenticeship);
- Contemporary Issues in Business;
Dr. Jellason supervises MBA and MSc dissertations.
He is also a personal tutor for post-graduate students.
