Academic Biography
Olalekan obtained his PhD in Economics from Newcastle University, Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom in 2017 and obtained an MSc in International Economics and Finance [Distinction] from the same university in 2011. He obtained a BSc in Politics, Philosophy and Economics [2:1] from Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria.
He has taught Economics, Finance and Accounting modules at Newcastle University and London South Bank University. He is currently employed as a Senior Lecturer in Economics at Teesside University International Business School, where he engages with teaching, research and enterprise.
He has published papers in international journals and currently one of the reviewers of Investment Analysts Journal.
Olalekan supervises undergraduate, postgraduate and DBA dissertations, and he is currently accepting PhD students.
