Tricia is a senior lecturer in occupational therapy. She joined the team in 2001 as a lecturer and practitioner and as a full-time lecturer in 2002. She trained at Dorset House, Oxford and qualified in 1990, having first done an English degree.
Tricia gained experience working in both mental and physical health in London on qualification and then spent a year working in social services. She worked in local community hospitals for eight years and was involved in establishing new posts accepting Open Access GP referrals and community rehabilitation.
She is the module leader for Professional Beliefs, Values and Knowledge Base, which allows students to explore the core occupational therapy values. She also teach skills to help prepare students for placement, as well as some specific clinical conditions on the Human Being module.
Her academic and research interests include developing junior staff, interprofessional education, fall prevention and community rehabilitation. Tricia's master's degree is in education.
