Academic Biography
Dr Paul Noble has been working in computer graphics for nearly 20 years and teaches a broad range of topics in 3D, from character modelling to programming, but specialises in technical animation and visual effects using SideFX Houdini.
His PhD topic concerned algorithmic approaches to expressive animation and resulted in several papers published in international conference proceedings and journals.
He worked as a VFX artist on the feature documentaries ‘The Last Man on the Moon’(2014) and ‘Mission Control’ (2017). Other accolades include the Mick Berry trophy for heaviest marrow (2011) and Saltburn croquet champion (1999).
