Academic Biography

Peter is a physicist and spent four years working for ICI on Teesside, first in polymer research and then in quality assurance.

He joined Durham Constabulary where he worked for 12 years as a Crime Scene Examiner, dealing with offences including abduction, homicide and terrorism, gaining particular experience of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and distraction burglary offences.

Peter teaches physics as well as crime scene investigation, and has a particular interest in fire and arson research, and the use of performance indicators in policing.
