Personal profile

Academic Biography

I am a PhD candidate examining training intensity distribution  in road cyclists, supervised by Dr Nicolas Berger and Dr Jonathan Taylor. As part of this work, I helped form a partnership between the university and Ribble-Weldtite Pro Cycling, which provides placement opportunities for students interested in elite sport and I have coached elite cyclists.

I also work as a senior lab technician and part-time lecturer within the School of Health & Life Sciences where I have taught on several undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across sport, allied health, nursing, nutrition, and biology.

Summary of Research Interests

My research interests broadly incorporate the areas surrounding endurance sports performance, training load monitoring, and the critical power concept within exercise physiology.

Additional research is also underway in esports and e-cycling which has resulted in a publication in a new area of research for me within interdisciplinary approaches and new collaborations.
