Academic Biography
I have 16 years clinical experience working as an occupational therapist in a variety of fields. As a lecturer I teach and lead modules across the BSc and MSc occupational therapy programmes, as well as the foundation degree for associate practitioners. I supervise students undertaking the MSc in advanced clinical practice, and provide dissertation support to students on the occupational therapy programmes. I have particular expertise in the condition of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS), and as such I teach on the subject across other programmes in the School of Health and Life Sciences.
Summary of Research Interests
My research interests are concerned with the condition Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS), in particular the rehabilitation of those with the condition, and their difficulties accessing health care.
