Robb completed his undergraduate degree at Cardiff University in 2014, and continued to graduate from the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Teesside University in 2020, with notable research projects including the psycholinguistic processing of metaphorical speech, and a psychometric investigation into the HoNOS-LD (doctoral thesis).  Clinically, Robb has worked in a variety of fields, including staff wellbeing, brain injury, dementia care and the mental health of older people, and alongside his current role as Senior Lecturer at Teesside works in a local NHS Trust in service development.

In his University role, Robb provides Personal and Professional Development support (PPD) and Clinical Tuition to a number of students across all three years, as well as supervising several thesis topics.  Robb offers lectures in a variety of topics across the three years of clinical psychology training, particularly in relation to ethics in clinical practice, memory and cognition, and working with older adults.  He is also currently completing the PG Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (PGCLTHE).

Robb has a variety of research interests, some of which include:

• Cross-cultural assessment of cognition (in particular memory)
• Application of therapeutic practice in non-native English speaking groups.
• The role of language in clinical assessment and therapy.
• Digital transformation in mental healthcare
• The use of AI in psychological and neuropsychological practice.

Robb is currently supervising projects in areas, including neuropsychological assessment and neurorehabilitation, the role of language and culture in assessment and therapy, psychological need in older people and those with long-term health conditions, and the role of specific cognitive domains in therapeutic approaches.

Robb works with a variety of stakeholders in academia, public health and the third sector, and is keen to discuss research ideas into cross-cultural neuropsychology, bi- or multilingualism in clinical practice, or digital transformation in healthcare.
