Academic Biography
Ronalds is a lecturer at Teesside university in the Department of Nursing and Midwifery, teaching pre-registration nursing students, and serves as the Module Lead for Year 2 Skills (Mental Health).
Prior to entering academia, Ronalds worked as a Mental Health Advisor for University students. He has a diverse clinical background, having served as a Mental Health Practitioner across various settings within the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM).
Ronalds’ main interests include Student Mental Health and Wellbeing. His PhD is exploring the role of faith in the Mental Health and wellbeing of Black university students. He also has a keen interest in the use of innovative technology and engaging pedagogical approaches. Additionally, he runs a blog that offers mental health support for university students in the form of psychoeducation, advice, signposting and self-help tips. He has contributed to the development and quality assurance of the nursing curriculum and assessment methods and an external examiner.
