Academic Biography

Shamaila is affiliated with the higher education sector since 2005. She has completed her Doctorate degree with a focus on Sustainable Business practices.  Considering her application of Action Research in textile manufacturing sector during her doctorate, she was invited as an honorary participant in an international conference held at Groningen University, Netherlands. Earlier, she did her Masters degree with specialization in Marketing. Hence, her teaching and research portfolio encompasses wide range of subjects/topics from varied domains of Management and Marketing. 

Her key topics of published research articles include Green Training, Environmental Sustainability, Transformation Leadership, Organizational Efficiency, CSR, Sustainability Culture & Collaborative Learning, Customer-base Brand Equity, E-Service Quality and a few more. She is committed to create a positive impact on society through her humble contribution in terms of research publications accessible to a wider audience. 

Enterprise Interest and Activities

Shamaila has worked with partner organizations from textile sector in a developing economy to deliver training sessions introducing collaborative learning as a mean to induce relational space among employees. 

She has a keen interest in partnering with Entrepreneurial leaders to help them in embracing sustainability as an integral business strategy.

She completed her Doctorate of Business Administration degree in Sustainable Business from Switzerland. Her research methodology primarily included an Action-Research (AR) intervention in a world renowned textile manufacturing & exporting organization. Additionally, she has employed a mixed-method approach during her course of doctorate research comprising AR intervention, quantitative and qualitative analysis.

She has successfully supervised one doctorate graduate and currently, supervising two DBA candidates. She has also supervised more than 50 MS level theses over her 17 years academic career. She has also been extensively engaged in supervising and monitoring final year projects of undergraduate students with more than 60 projects achieving acceptance and recognition in their respective institutes.

She has served as first-ever Eelected Member of Board of Governors at her employer university.

She has served as an Elected Member of Senate at her employer university.

She has actively contributed as a member of Academic Board of Studies and Post-Graduate Research Programs.

She has served as an Advisor at Punjab Public Service Commission, Pakistan for Recruitment & Selection in public offices.
