Academic Biography

Shaun is a Research Associate in the School of Health and Social Care having been formerly employed within the HSCI as a Research Assistant.

Shaun completed a BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Sunderland before joining the HSCI on a PhD studentship in 2010. He was awarded his PhD in June 2017.

Shaun has research interests in the following:

  • Scoliosis
  • Back pain

Current projects:

Shaun is currently working on an Interreg funded project examining the role of Virtual Reality in the management of chronic pain.
